July 2026 at Alohi: wider data residency, simpler billing, and a more reliable APAC route

July brought a handful of changes that don't each deserve their own spotlight, but add up to a meaningfully better experience for Fax.Plus and Sign.Plus customers. Here's what shipped.

Data Residency now covers more than 40 locations

Choosing where your documents live is core to Data Residency, our Enterprise-plan feature for Fax.Plus and Sign.Plus that lets you store and process encrypted files in the region you choose. Until this month, that choice was limited to 23 locations. Data Residency now spans more than 40, added across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Africa, so more organizations can meet local data-sovereignty requirements without changing how they work.

Canada was one of the first additions: Fax.Plus and Sign.Plus Enterprise customers can now keep their live data and backups in Toronto, helping Canadian organizations meet PIPEDA and other local expectations.

Simpler, more flexible billing

Adding credit to a Fax.Plus account used to mean picking from a short list of fixed amounts. If none of them matched what you actually needed, you'd end up making several purchases just to top up. You can now enter your own custom amount, from $10 up to $100,000, in USD, CHF, EUR, or GBP, alongside a simplified set of default amounts for anyone who prefers the quick option. More reliable faxing across Asia-Pacific

We’ve increased fax success rates across Asia-Pacific by adding local tier-1 telecom providers with direct last-mile connectivity in the region, including Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong. Routing faxes through in-region infrastructure means fewer handoffs between networks and more consistent delivery. No setup needed on your end, it’s live for everyone sending and receiving faxes in the region.

Fax headers that read naturally, wherever you are

The header on your outbound faxes is often the first thing a recipient sees, and a date or phone number formatted the wrong way for their country can make a fax look unfamiliar before they've even read it. You can now choose the date format shown on your fax header, and switch the phone number between International (with country code) and National (without country code) formatting, so it reads the way your recipients expect.
